In Febraury of 2014, we escaped the cold winds of late winter here in Copenhagen and made our way to mysterious, delicious Barcelona. We instantly fell in love with that ancient, unpredictable, many storied city of Catalan pride and organic architecture - so much so that we're going back there later this month. But until we have more photos and stories to share, here are some outtakes from last years travels.
Ah...Italy: the food, the beaches, the weather, the 'crumbling chic' architecture....no matter what region we visit, it never disappoints. And our time in Sardinia this summer was no exception to that rule. Below are some of our favorite photos from the small town of Bosa, on the western coast of the island of Sardinia.
This summer we spent a day floating down France's Dordogne River. Though we were technically 'canoeing,' we definitely let the river do the work. And as we melted down stream in the Dordogne's generous current, we couldn't help but agree with the River Rat's timeless credo:
'Believe me, my young friend, there is nothing — absolutely nothing — half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats.' Kenneth Grahame, The Wind in the Willows
'Home is the sailor, home from the sea, and the hunter home from the hill.'' Robert Louis Stevenson
It has been a busy summer of travel, but we are home and excited to share photos from our journeys with you. In the coming weeks we will post photos from our time in Poland, Sardinia (Italy), the Bordeaux Region and Paris, France as well as Holland and Croatia. But in the meantime, here is a little preview of things to come, with much more on the near horizon.
We hope you will continue to travel the way with us this fall.
