We stopped over in Bath for a day on our tour of England and found it to be an exceptional place. Unlike the thatch roofs and tidy gardens of the nearby Cotswold villages, Bath is stately and statuesque - mountainous and mysterious.
On our short visit we took in the historic Roman Baths and a stroll along the streets and river, but there is still so much more to see there...which is, of course, just an excuse to return someday.
