Assisi, Italy (Part 1)

Assisi is a wonder of the medieval world - thankfully preserved for the 21st century traveler: for pilgrims, for photographers, and for lovers of steep inclines. As you approach the white stoned city from below, it shines like an ivory castle against the dusty gold of the Perugian hills of Italy: part shrine to St.Francis, part relic of Rome, and part Diagon Alley - Assisi is arrestingly atmospheric.
