The Art of George Bellows

While traveling this month we somewhere stumbled upon the art of American realist George Bellows - famous for his scenes of boxers and boxing matches - and since then I (Austin) have become fascinated with it. Most of his work has to do with the gritty life of urban New York in the early 20th Century - but all of it has a rich motion to it: people doing things, struggling, waiting anxiously, etc. There's a lot of Bellows' work to discover through a Google image search if you're interested.

Happy Friday.
